Tram: Melbourne Star is located within Docklands, which is part of Melbourne's Free Tram Zone. Catch a tram to the Melbourne Star from anywhere within the Free Tram Zone at no cost. Board any of the following trams: Tram 86 (The City Circle tram, via Bourke Street), Tram 70 (via Flinders Street). Get off at The District Docklands (Stop D11), which is an easy walking distance to the Melbourne Star.
Train: Take a train to Southern Cross Station and then walk across the Bourke Street pedestrian bridge to Harbour Esplanade. Then follow the Promenade to The District Docklands.
Bus: Melbourne Star is located very close to Stop 6 (Harbour Town) on the Melbourne Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus.
Car: Direct access to the Melbourne Star is from Footscray Road. Turn onto Pearl River Road or Waterfront Way. Parking is available at Pearl River Road West Car Park and Waterfront Way East Car Park. Limited street parking is also available.
Infants aged 0 - 4 can take part in this activity for free.
General Admission: ride in the daytime OR evening (only once)
"Sights and Lights" Admission: ride in the daytime AND evening (the second ride must be made within 30 days of the first ride)
Food or alcoholic beverages are not allowed on board the Melbourne Star.

One ride on the Melbourne Star takes 30 minutes.
The ticket office closes 60 minutes prior to closing time. The last ride departs 30 minutes prior to closing time.
If weather is deemed unsafe for the Melbourne Star to operate, an alternative time will be offered.
