Dive options:

  • If you have never snorkelled before, don't worry, a briefing is held on board, explaining how to put and use the snorkelling gear. The onboard experts will be there to assist you into the water to enjoy your first taste of The Great Barrier Reef.

  • If you are a snorkeller extraordinaire or even somewhere in the middle, you will have the chance to get out and about finding some of the reef's friendly residents.

Introductory dive experience (without SCUBA certificate):

  • This option is suitable if you don't have a diving certificate, but still wish to explore the magical underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. Lead by your expert dive instructor, you will cover all the procedures that will make your experience a safe and unforgettable one (diving skills, communication under water, marine life behaviour, etc). Once at the reef, you will begin by practicing with your equipment on the surface. Once comfortable, you will repeat the skills only a few feet below the surface so that you are comfortable for your dive.

  • You will go down to a maximum depth of 12 metres, with each dive lasting around 30 minutes.

SCUBA Certified dive:

  • Make sure that you remember to bring your certification card and your logbook with you for a friendly crew member to see.

  • All dives are certified buddy dives but if it has been a while since you last dived or if you just want to enjoy exploring with someone by your side then SCUBA dive guides are available for an additional cost (the added benefit is that they also know where all the cool things are!!).
