Luna park was built in 1935 and locates on the waters of Sydney Harbour. Featured with various rides and fun games, Luna Park is famous for all the dips, turns, and drops that it takes. There is Whirly Wheel for your little one to step aboard, allowing for plenty of time for waving at you. Plus, you can take the Hair Raiser, which raises you 50 metres above sea level only to plunge you back down with little to no warning. Park location: 1 Olympic Dr, Milsons Point NSW 2061


Transport methods:


  • Ferry: It takes approximately 5 minutes from Circular Quay and 15 minutes from Barangaroo or Darling Harbour. The terminal is right at the entrance to Luna Park and ferry departs at least every 30 minutes. 

  • Train: Catch the train to Milsons Point Station (one stop from the CBD) and it takes approximately 5 minute stroll towards Lavender Bay to the park.

  • Bus: Many bus routes operate to Luna Park. You will need to get off the bus in Alfred Street, near Olympic Drive.

  • Car: Luna Park's car park entrance is via Paul Street (off Alfred Street). There are 389 space secure spaces in Luna Park's parking lot. Parking fee applies, click here for details.

Dining arrangement:

The Altum Restaurant will close on Mondays to Tuesdays (open on Tuesdays from November to January). And it runs from Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 pm (last entry at 9:00 pm).
