What to Expect
Travel reference:

Come on a fantastic cruise around Port Stephens Harbour and see dolphins up close!

Departing from Nelson Bay, you can choose one of three cruises, each with multiple departures every day and their own thrills and features. You'll learn about this beautiful area, dolphins and wildlife with entertaining, informative commentary from the captains. And all cruises have a 99% success rate of sighting dolphins, so you almost guaranteed to see some of the local colony of bottlenose dolphins.

The Dolphin Discovery Cruise is a 1.5 hour cruise aboard the largest most comfortable vessels. There are two departures every day, with additional cruises in summer. On board Moonshadow V you'll also get to enjoy the Twist, Twirl and Splash Waterslide – perfect for little kids and big kids alike! You can also upgrade to the buffet lunch package, which includes a fresh hot and cold buffet selection of chicken, fish, vegetarian dishes, salads, tropical fruit platter and more! Or take a step back in time on the 1.5 hour Dolphin Watch Cruise as you board one of the older vessels MV Surprise or Moonshadow III. If you want a little bit longer in Port Stephens Harbour, choose the Splash and Slide Cruise. This is a 2 hour cruise aboard MV Spirit, which features an onboard spa, two walk around all-weather viewing decks and a waterslide.

All cruises feature a boomnet that you can ride, scenic views of Tomaree and Yacaaba headlands and an onboard bar where you can purchase snacks and drinks.
