See the best of Melbourne in just one day with this excellent-value combo tour!
With a coach picking you up from your hotel in the morning, you'll head to your first stop at Healesville Sanctuary. This is one of the best places to see Australia's unique duck-billed platypus. The Sanctuary is also home to many other Australian native animals such as koalas, kangaroos, wombats and dingos. You'll discover Australia's majestic birds of prey and magnificent parrots in the spectacular "Spirit of the Sky" show. You will also get the chance to visit the Wildlife Hospital which treats more than 2000 sick or injured animals each year.
Next you'll head to the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, where you'll climb aboard the century old steam train - the Puffing Billy - and enjoy the ride through lush fern gullies and Eucalyptus forests. Before sunset you'll head down the Victorian peninsula to Phillip Island to take your spot at the Penguin Stadium to watch the famous Penguin Parade. Watch carefully while these adorable small creatures come back to the shore after a busy day of fishing, to make their way to their nests in the dune. You have the option of Standard Viewing or Penguin Plus Viewing, where you can enjoy the nightly parade from the beach or on the viewing boardwalk.
