Discover the natural beauty of tropical north Queensland on a fun trip on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway!
Rising from sea level to 328 metres, the train journey from Cairns to Kuranda, the village in the rainforest, is one of Australia's most unique rail journeys and over 120 years old. And the best way to do it is in style, on board a refurbished Heritage Class carriage. Your journey includes a 10 minute stop at the spectacular Barron Falls, a steep cascade waterfall – get your camera ready! Your train will meander through picturesque scenery and pass through 15 handmade tunnels and across 37 towering bridges.
Choose from a refurbished original red-wooden heritage carriage in Heritage Class or go all-out with an individual lounge-style chair carriage in Gold Class. Your Gold Class journey also includes a selection of premium beverages and locally sourced appetizers, as well as a complimentary gift pack.
