Enjoy one of the best sea kayaking and cruise trips in Abel Tasman National Park!
Your trip starts with a safety briefing, with full instruction to make kayaking as simple as possible. Afterwards, you'll climb into a double kayak and set off on your guided adventure. With an experienced guide accompanying the group the whole time your trip is guaranteed to be safe and enjoyable. This tour covers the area between Kaiteriteri to the south and Split Apple Rock in the north. It is a relatively small area with lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore.
After your kayaking you'll board your comfortable catamaran and start by cruising to Anchorage Bay. There's wildlife, pristine coastline and untouched forests to take in as you cruise along, while your skipper shares the history of the area and tells interesting facts. On this adventure you'll be able to spot New Zealand Fur Seal colonies in their natural habitat. The skipper will get the boat close enough to the seals so that you can see them playing around and also get some fantastic photographs, so don't forget to bring your cameras!
On arrival at Anchorage Bay, you will disembark where you may choose to relax on the beach and bask in the sun or walk through the 1.5 hour Pitt Head loop track to Te Pukatea Bay. Make sure keep a close eye on the time to re-board the catamaran to make your return trip to Kaiteriteri.
