Enjoy the great outdoors and scenery of Abel Tasman National Park and get up close with some of the local, native Fur Seals!
Starting in Kaiteriteri (with transfers from Nelson available), you'll board your comfortable catamaran and start by cruising to Tonga Quarry. There's wildlife, pristine coastline and untouched forests to take in as you cruise along, while your skipper shares the history of the area and tells interesting facts. You'll also see a number of famous sights including Split Apple Rock, Te Pukeatea Bay, Adele Island and Fisherman Island.
On your journey you'll be able to spot New Zealand Fur Seal colonies in their natural habitat. The skipper will get the boat close enough to the seals so that you can see them playing around and also get some fantastic photographs, so don't forget to bring your cameras!
You'll then land at Tonga Quarry where you can walk through the forest to Medlands Bay (1.5 - 2 hours), or if you're feeling more energetic you can carry on walking to Anchorage Bay (4.5 – 5.5 hours). Make sure you're in time to re-board the catamaran to make your return to Kaiteriteri, wrapping up an incredible day in nature.
