Enjoy the ultimate nature and wildlife experience at Milford Sound on these excellent-value cruises!
Choose from either the Milford Sound Encounter Nature or Discover More Cruise. The Encounter Nature Cruise is a great way to check out Milford's awe-inspiring scenery and travels the length of the fiord out to the Tasman Sea. The cruise stops at waterfalls and points of interest along the way, and lively expert commentary is provided throughout the tour from the skipper. You'll be able to reach out and touch sheer rock cliffs, drink pure glacial water straight from the waterfalls, see seals sunning themselves on the rocks and watch dolphins riding the bow wave of the boat.
With the Discover More Cruise you can really explore the beauty of the fiord. You'll have access to the Milford Sound Underwater Observatory, the only floating underwater observatory in New Zealand. This is the absolute best way to experience the magic of the Piopiotahi Marine Reserve, previously the exclusive realm of divers. Descend 10 metres underwater into a large, fully air-conditioned viewing area where large windows with excellent optical clarity open your eyes to this deep underwater haven. You can also upgrade to include a one hour kayak around sheltered Harrison Cove. Kayak through crystal clear waters in one of the most majestic places in the world.
